On the 20th April 20 trekkers will attempt the 3 Peaks Challenge, conquering the 3 highest peaks in the UK. The challengers will make their way from Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District, and finish with Snowdon in Wales, in just 24 hours. For the challenge members of the Outdoor Society and Raise and Give have joined forces to fundraise for the Campaign to Protect Rural England.
UniVerse met with two of the trekkers, Ash Lydiate and Outdoor Society President Adam Fleming. The Outdoor Society is about being “a bit more outdoorsy and seeing the countryside” said Ash. “At University students don’t really get out much to see the surrounding area, so we try and help.” Outdoor Society activities include walks, bike riding and capoeira.
