Recent figures from the Home Office show that crime in Hertfordshire is continuing to fall. The statistics taken from July 2011 to July 2012, show that recorded crime has dropped by 10 per cent, compared to the national average of seven per cent.
Across the UK dwelling burglary was down by seven per cent, and vehicle crime and robberies both fell by eight per cent. In Hertfordshire dwelling burglary fell by 14 per cent, double the national rate, vehicle crime dropped by 11 per cent and the number of robberies fell by 17 per cent.
