Guest blogger Kealie talks about how experiencing ME has affected her mental health.
Four years ago I was diagnosed with the debilitating condition, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME) which affects around 250,000 people in the UK. I had just started my A-Levels where I was aiming for top grades, and planning to progress to university and chase my future career in journalism. My body was fighting against me; I was unable to do the simplest of tasks and facing new challenges every day. Suddenly struck down, and losing control, this was a difficult time and something that I struggled to contend with.
