Kettle Band of the Week: Yorkshire’s Marmozets

With a screaming front woman to rival the competition, Marmozets have got plenty to shout about. A new album on its way and a place at Reading & Leeds Festival this weekend are just the beginning of why Marmozets are our Band of the Week.

I’ve been following Marmozets for years, and think they are without a doubt one of the best British bands on the rise. They proclaim their place in the genre bank as ‘rawkous alternative math energy’ but they could easily fit the bill on any punk, rock, or hardcore stages…

…Their album, aptly titled The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets, is due for release on September 29th on Roadrunner Records. If you can’t wait that long for a dose of Marmozets then you should head to iTunes and pre-order now to receive immediate downloads of the singles ‘Captivate You,’ ‘Why Do You Hate Me?’ and ‘Move Shake Hide.’
